Meet the dogs who have been rescued from horrendous suffering and death. They were all destined for the dog meat trade but now have hope!

Yet there are thousands of them! Soi Dog needs any donations to assist with their welfare and food.
I am sure even a little bit of help is enough to make a difference.

It is incredible that dogs that are so badly mistreated never seem to lose faith in humans. They should hate us, but when humans rescue them, they forgive all. They never gave up hope that we would come for them.

I hope someday there are no more dog meat trade dogs to be rescued, but until them we need to help when ever we can.
A wonderful organisation. Normally I keep my donations anonymous and secret, but if it will encourage anyone reading this thread - members or visitors - to give some money for this very valuable cause, then it is worth doing. I made a contribution to this noble cause. I urge anyone reading this thread to do the same. The dogs can't thank you personally, but their hearts will be full of gratitude for being saved from a terrible fate.
The Soi Dog Foundation is wonderful. Yet without our help -from all over the world, they wouldn't be able to continue doing their tremendous work of love and compassion.
For those who can't afford a donation right now, then publicise their Facebook page! Tweet -or share on Facebook, etc.
Everyone can help.

The other night, on Twitter, I accidentally stumbled on a deeply upsetting picture about the dog meat trade. I had seen something similar before. That one had haunted me for days. Well, the other night it was even worse. I felt like my heart was breaking in two. It took me 2 hours to pluck up courage to get to the petition page, and sign, while not looking at the picture.

Trying to put the image out of my mind, and raise up my thoughts, and concentrate instead on sending love to those dogs' Souls....again I 'stumbled' upon THIS page last night!

Now I had NO IDEA so many dogs (thousands!) had been rescued! These pictures of what look like such happy dogs was a wonderful thing to see.
But of course, many will need veterinary treatment of one sort or another, and they all need food.

Many, many blessings to the Soi Dog team, and all the volunteers there, and all the people who have given donations -either recently or in the past, to enable this massive rescue to happen!
You guys deserve a medal. But of course, a lick, a wag, a happy bark, and donations continuing to come in -is what you all most want.

And although the dog meat trade is illegal in Thailand -it does still happen. Laws will not stop some people. So worldwide, we must all keep the pressure on.
Sometimes all the horrible images are overwhelming, but then I remember that I am just looking at them. The dogs are actually experiencing it.

I helps to see how many have been saved. The people on the front lines who are doing the rescuing need all the help we can give them.

Just knowing that people out there care will give them the strength to keep up the good work.

I have to wait a couple of weeks before I can help because I sent to other causes, but I want to send something. Every bit helps.

Yes, the same thought crossed my mind too.
It must be hard for those actually rescuing the dogs. They see what horrible shape they are in and they know that there are dogs that they were unable to rescue.
It is hard to know and care about things like the dog meat trade. We can only do so much and stopping it will take time. Many dogs do not have time. For them the suffering is now.

I just have to believe in a better future where animal suffering is something in the history books. I hope I live long enough to see these things stopped.

In the mean time we have the angels at Soi Dogs to help make things right.
