They are both very beautiful.
How old are they and did you just get them.
You have a Sheltie male so you should get some nice sheltie babies.
Is Arthur your only sheltie male?

I am sure he will love the new girls.

There are about 3 months old, not a hundred per cent sure as I don't have their DOBs (I will get in touch with the breeder and find out).
I do have another Sheltie boar, his name is Nemo and he arrived today.

I'm sure both Arthur and Nemo will love the girls. Smiley4
Nemo is gorgeous! He has a beautiful face and his hair is amazing.
However you combine them, you are going to have some beautiful sheltie babies. The colour possibilities are quite good.

Where ever do you find such good breeding stock? You must constantly be on the watch for it, the way I am with my snakes. When you see something special you get it right away. That's how you get the best guinea pigs that are out there.

You have Shelties and Teddys. What happens if you combine the two. Is it interesting or do they just turn out ordinary.

I am constantly looking on certain FB pages and the Preloved website for guinea pigs mainly, and I no longer limit my search to local breeders now. I've found that if I want good quality stock then I'm going to have to shop further afield.

I'm not sure what you'd get if you combined Shelties and Teddys, probably a mixture of short and long haired, carrying the Teddy gene. It's not something that I am going to be doing. I want to concentrate on improving my stock.
Good point about not mixing them. You would loose the pure lines and end up with less than you started with. If you want the best sometimes you have to search for it. I am sure there are good breeders around that you can reach online.

Are there actual guinea pig shows? If there are you could find good stock there. Breeders would bring animals that they want to sell.

Of course you will have some good guinea pigs in your own litters.

How soon can we expect the first of this years litters?
