This story will make you cry. People in the neighbourhood noticed the duplex was on fire and broke down the doors to get the pets out.

For the families who lost so much in the fire, there is still joy because their pets are alive.

I hope they rescuers all get some kind of recognition for what they did.

This is a truly lovely story of real heroism. It moved my heart. Any one of those rescuers could have been hurt or overcome with toxic smoke, but they didn't care. They did a wonderful job!
I'm sorry one of the cats didn't make it, but all the others did, thanks to those people. Bless their Souls.

It is amazing because it wasn't just one person. A number of people responded. There is hope for the world when strangers will rescue pets from a burning building at risk to themselves.

This is the spirit that makes humankind a good species, one capable of great things. I just wish we would see more of it.
