Reptiles can't win. Mostly people are against them. Finally people want to help and they make things worse. They see baby sea turtles hatching and they help them by putting them in the water. Unfortunately most people can't tell a sea turtle from a land tortoise. They gather up baby land tortoises and put them in the water...and they drown. They are land tortoises! They like it dry and if you look at their feet they are clearly not able to swim.

If you are not sure, ask someone who knows.
If you found a bunch of fluffy little chicks, would you throw them in the water because you think they are baby ducks.
