It is a good thing that dogs are so forgiving. When I look at some of the new styles and shapes all I can think is that the dogs must really love their people. They put up with so much and now they have someone with scissors making them look silly.

Good thing dogs don't care what they look like.
Am I am right, some of the styles are really silly looking?
Well, it all depends on individual taste, but I agree with you, Catherine. Some of the styles are plain silly. Still, as you say, dogs don't really care how they look; they are more interested in attention, treats, walks, playing and lots of love!
Nope. Dogs don't care what they look like, and aren't the slightest bit interested in what obviously interests their Human. (Facebook 'likes'....etc....) They would usually much rather NOT spend time at the groomer's and be out in the woods instead with a nice dinner to follow!
But they are capable of enduring such silliness, for the sake of their love for us.

But it's not a bad idea to trim the fur of a long haired dog in summer. Or to trim it round the face so that the dog can see and eat properly.
Good point. If a silly hair style makes the owner happy and the dog gets lots of love, then it is a good thing. Although some of the styles are to silly. Good thing dogs love us.
