It must be hard for all the animals. They do not understand what has happened. They just know their homes are gone and sometimes their people are gone. I am just glad to know there is some help for them.

This is an awful tragedy for both the humans and the animals. I felt so sorry for that poor old lady with her goats. They are all she has left in the world, and living among the wreckage must be very tough indeed.

There have been more earthquakes. I hope the survivors, human and animal have come through this okay, but I know some will have died.

I know. Last night I heard about the second earthquake and the aftershocks. This is all these people and animals need right now. It will hamper relief work as well. I hope some stability will come back to the area, and that the worst is over. But there will be additional suffering.

The aftershocks could continue and some areas were already inaccessible. Now things will be worse. The good news is that no aid workers were hurt. That means they can continue to help were ever possible.
