I don't know whether it is a happy or sad thing that there is a group called Saving the Survivors. They exist to save rhinos that have survived poaching. The animal is usually badly damaged and only survives because of specialized care.
It is wonderful that there is such a group. It is sad that there needs to be such a group.
There were a number of rhinos killed recently, one was just a baby.
It is fortunate that they found this female in time. It will take a lot for her to make it, but hopefully she will.

There are so few rhinos. Saving this female could mean the difference between the survival of the whole species or its loss forever.
