By the way, the title of this thread caught my eye. The ".....Not!" expression used to puzzle me. It has spread from the USA to Europe since the 90s, but I always wondered what the origin was. Here is the answer: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/..._Not!

We use the expression NOT in Canada.  It is really for sarcasm. If you don't say NOT, people sometimes miss the sarcasm and think you mean what you are saying. I wanted people to be absolutely sure that I was not posting about pigs being the worst.

I never thought about the word not being used like that all around the world.
