There have been some terrible out of control wold fires in drought stricken California. Sadly not all animals could be evacuated. Things just happened too fast.

Sad as it is, there have been some happy reunions. There has been some heroic work to rescue animals.

One thing is clear, even if they have lost everything, still having their pet is enough to give them hope and happiness.
It is terribly tragic, for people and all animals. Wildfires spread so quickly, and even wild animals fleeing can get cut off by new fires which spring up.

I know fires can be started naturally in brush, but many fires originate from human error....either a cigarette not put out....a bottle left out in the sun....etc
I don't know what caused the fires this time, but I do know the droughts have made the situation worse. Of course the droughts are part of climate change problems.
I do know that people are trying to help the animals caught in the fire area.

I hope the wildlife in the area had a chance to escape. Fire like that is such a frightening thing. It must have been terrifying for the pets left behind.
