It is so hard to get pets to eat the way we want them to.  If you mix the food like that they must be getting some of the right stuff, it is just impossible to know how much. It is not always easy to look after our pets even when we have everything they need. I hope the birds are both doing okay. At least you know you are doing your best.

Yes, they sure look healthy and are flying around a lot. Well, one of them is. The baby is still learning to fly yet. The baby glides through the air and lands on things. The baby will be able to fly just like Danny one day. That will be exciting to see.

I didn't realize that Bailee was so young. I guess birds need time to learn to fly well. I am sure she will grow into a beautiful young lady.  It sounds like they are both doing well.

I still don't know if Bailee is a male or female. Starting to look like it may be a male but not sure yet. I'm waiting for Bailee's markings to show up fully.

You might end up with a bonded pair of males.  They should be fine together under the circumstances. I have known other people to have pairs of bonded males. Will they both sing like males or do budgie males and females both sing the same way.

Bailee has begun to make some of the same sounds as Danny. Danny sings beautifully at times and then rants at times with loud noise. Bailee is a funny little bird. Bailee got in the one food bowl and with its feet knocked almost all of the food out of it. It's a good thing I have 2 bowls of food for them and Bailee won't do that to the other bowl because it's smaller.

I am not the only one to use two food dishes. The doves are ground feeders, but the food is spread in two places. The guinea pigs have two food dishes in case they mess one up.

Why do animals mess up their food dishes. The hamsters used to spill it everywhere.

I really don't know why Bailee did that but I emptied that bowl and put very little in in this time. The other dish is very full and Bailee does not do anything to that one. All creatures have their eccentricities just like us, I guess. lol

I like my milk in one set of mugs, my tea in another, coffee in the big mugs, but the brown mug is for water. Water tastes right in it. The green mug is for mint tea.
I am sure animals are no less fussy.
