It seems there is a new animal rescue open that is a place I would love. Too bad it is in Minnesota. It is just a little too far away.

As the name suggests, it is for reptiles and other odd pets. There are shelters and rescues for cats and dogs. There are even rescues for rabbits and guinea pigs. Reptiles need rescuing too. Sometimes owners change their minds or they just don't know how to care for a reptile.
Reptiles don't usually do well at regular shelters. They lack the knowledge needed to care for them properly and sometimes they lack the will.
It is good that there is a shelter open now for reptiles in  that area.

No doubt she will be flooded by pets that people no longer want. With any luck she can find homes for the healthy ones. A lot of the bearded dragons could easily be rehomes. Some of the fancier lizards and snakes would need special care and are more likely to end up as permanent residents.
This is such a wonderful thing. I wish her every success.
It is so good to see someone catering for reptiles and other "difficult" pets.
I have to say that they are not my thing at all, but I am delighted to see that some folk are enthusiastic to rescue them. They are as deserving as every other creature.
This is good news! I wan't even aware till not too long ago that there are rescues for animals other than cats and dogs.
It's a great idea to run a Rescue devoted to reptiles. Yes there are people who like reptiles, but have no idea how to care for them properly, and don't learn! And then of course there are the sad stories...if people can move home and leave their dog behind (which some can) they could leave any creature. Or people who have been arrested or something and their reptiles need to be taken in by animal control. It is nice to know they won't just be euthanised because no-one knows what to do with them.
Years ago when reptiles were rescued they were simply killed even if there were reptile people willing to take them. Now there is an awareness that reptiles are deserving of life too.

It is better that reptiles go to a reptile rescue. They can be a little tricky to care for if you don't know what you are doing.
Poor care can end up leaving a reptile deformed and damaged. Look how many damaged beardies I have taken in.

Creepy Crawly Animal Rescue is really needed. I don't think there are any other rescues for reptiles in that particular area.
I'm glad there is a rescue for reptiles. Yes, they deserve to live as all life does.
Reptiles often have long lives and it is sad to deprive an animal of thirty years or more or worse have them live undrr bad conditions all those years.

Reptiles are amazing creatures once you get to know them.
