I ended up watching a dozen rescue videos. They all have happy ending. I am always amazed at the way dogs never give up on life. They never give up on people and they seem to be able to recover from anything.
Billy turned out to be a very handsome looking dog. You can see he is deeply bonded with his people.

I always hope the people who abandoned an animal will somehow see the video. They will know that they did a terrible thing and they will see that they missed out on a life with a wonderful dog.

Pet foster parents are a special group. They give all the love that it takes to heal a pet like Billy and just when they have success they give him to someone else to love and enjoy. It must be very hard, but they can then take on another needy dog and get him ready for a loving home.
