I am running a little late. It was actually Aug 14, but I still want to celebrate it. Better late than never.

This is perhaps not the most serious holiday on the planet.

I already have a lizard cookie cutter. Now I just need to make some cookies.
At least I gave my lizards their favourite foods and made them happy.

Barrie is sleeping off the rather large meal he ate yesterday. He won't be ready for much celebrating until Wed.
Oh dear Blush ....trust me to be sooooo late in wishing all you Reptiles
HAPPY LIZARD DAY!

Barrie, when your dinner goes down, you are going to want to celebrate....maybe you will be late, like me!
I was late too, but I understand the date is flexible. Barrie has eaten twice and is sleeping it off again.

I just turned around to look at my lizard tank and THE FIRE SKINK IS OUT where I can see him. He was hatched there 12 years ago and I can go months without a sighting. Brendan is beautiful, but very mysterious. Talk about celebrating International Lizard Day! He was actually eating some of the food I gave to the Pink Tongued Skink. I though he would like it. but I have never seen him eat it before.

I had to go back years to find this picture. Brendan has become more mysterious every year.

I notice that he is a little thicker in the body now. I have no idea how long he will live. I just looked it up and they have a 15-20 year life span. So who knows I might see him again some day.
