Happy Birthday to Healesville Sanctuary's oldest animal, Jess the Wedge-tailed Eagle, who turns 46 today!

To celebrate, Jess will be doing what he does best by soaring sky high and showing off his impressive natural behaviours to his adoring fans in the midday Spirits of the Sky show.

That is impressive. I had no idea they lived so long. Good work Graham Carkeek. I bet he never thought that his rescue bird would still be going strong more that 40 years later.
Also good work Healesville for providing such good care.

Jess is a beautiful bird. I wish him many more years of flight.
