A boy in Ottawa with autism has done well with his service dog, Sasha, a golden retriever. Sadly during a family trip the Sasha  was lost and later found dead. The dog had been hit by a car.   The Windsor Police are fundraising and organizing a new dog for the boy.

Very soon, a new dog, Jake, will be joining the family. He isn't Sasha, but he is a loveable puppy and he will make all the difference in the life of a boy who has suffered a terrible loss.

I think it is wonderful that the police cared enough to help. Heart
Yes, I quite agree. It is a very thoughtful and caring gesture. The police are, after all, just like people worldwide: some kind, some cruel, some good, some not so good. In this case, they are definitely kind.
I think they were really touched by the boy's loss. How wonderful that they were able to work together to help. People are essentially good. The police are already an organized group so it made it possible for them to work together.
