Cupid is an adorable puppy who was found in a garbage bag in a garbage bin. He also has no front legs.
He is still full of life and very happy and with good care he will thrive. So the terrible person who dumped him didn't get their wish.

I am sure he will do well with his new legs and he will at least learn to walk.
Out there somewhere is the person who will give him a loving home.

Right now everyone who hears about him loves Cupid. Heart
I suspect a backyard breeder. Especially as Cupid is a 'cute pup' from a litter of 'cute pups' no doubt. He doesn't look like a cross breed (i.e. accidental pregnancy.)

It is hearbreaking that anyone could do that to the little dog. Thanks to the man who saved him. And thanks to all those who are helping him now. He certainly seems happy to be alive.

I am disgusted at the response from the first rescue that man took him to! I don't know who they are, but they are cold hearted no matter how hard it is for them financially or how overcrowded they might be.
But thank goodness no-one suggested humane euthanisation either. That would have been an option someone could have come up with.

I hope his new legs will work very well, and he will get used to them. Bless him!
I never thought of a back yard breeder, but that makes sense. They would have a litter of puppies to sell, but they wouldn't handle them too much so they may not have realized the extent of Cupids damage until he was big enough to crawl around.
Discarding him in a garbage bag is heartless.

The first shelter that turned him away, might not have been able to deal with a handicapped puppy.  Their resources might have been limited, but they could have done it nicely and encouraged the man to take to puppy where he could get help.

There are a lot of heartless people out there.

Good thing Cupid found his way to a caring place. He will do well. I bet he learns to use prosthetic limbs with  trouble. I am hoping he learns to run. That would be so wonderful.
Cupid has his first pail of legs! It is going to be a process and they will have to teach him in stages. He looks so much better standing up. Heart

I still hope some day he can actually run like the big dog he was meant to be. He is young enough and still able to learn balance and muscle coordination.

Well done Cupid. This is the first of many successes.
