Or you wouldn't believe what some people came home to.

Smiley4 You would have to laugh. If you didn't you would end up crying while you pick up the pieces of your home. I am amazed at how much damage some animals were able to do.
Oh....my....gosh! 93 That is some serious damage! Some pets would definitely be in the doghouse after that!
I got the impression that the owners were secretly proud of how much damage their pets did. They sort admire the wild streak. We all love the bad boy kid who acts up and we love the dog that chews things up.

I love the snake that  always manages to poop on me. I love the guinea pigs that make a mess and chew everything in sight.
You are right though. That is some serious damage. Smiley4
Well....it's funny in a way, as things are 'just things' after all.
But I don't think I would like it very much! I could handle a puppy chewing stuff, but would try to guide it to chewing more sensible things.... I could handle a frightened dog freaking out because it was left alone too soon in a strange house....I could handle 'bathroom accidents', or even stealing food on occasion.
But I don't think I could handle coming home to find my house had been nuked. I could bounce back from once...how I'd get along with repeated events....haha
That would be likely to involve some "re-training schedule". Smiley4
Maybe they secretly wanted to replace the furniture that was destroyed and the dog gave them an excuse.
Some of those couches were absolutely totaled.

I would want to do a little training because it would be expensive if it kept on happening. Next time it might be something you didn't want to lose.

It reminds me of the movie "Marlie and Me". He was one destructive dog. He tore up the floor. I love that movie. Smiley4
Marley and Me (full movie)
Catch it now before it gets pulled off.

I like that movie too. I must have watched it 4 times.

Misty only wrecked the place once, and that was a tiny section of 'the place'. That was when she first came to my house after being a street dog, and foolishly she was left alone for an hour. I should have had more imagination. It was easily remedied, but gouge-marks remain in my table where she had scrabbled, to try to escape through a window. They are very special little marks now and I wouldn't want to be rid of them.
I have seen Marlie and Me a few times. I never get tired of watching it.

I can imagine Misty feeling anxious and trapped and trying to get out a window. New things can be stressful for any dog, but for a street dog it would be overwhelming. You would want to keep that table exactly the way it is. Some marks are keepers because they contain so many memories.

The dwarf hamsters used to do a bit of damage when they got out. They chewed little holes in my rugs. They used to hide little packs of seeds behind things. I think they wanted to have control over their food source. Pets do the oddest things.
