The world is full of animal heroes, those pets who save lives and working animals whose job protects humans. I think it is important that we remember them and honour them. Some have actually given their lives, and others risk their lives regularly.
Whatever these animals have done we owe them our respect.

I am impressed by the rats who work to find land mines. That is dangerous work, but until the mines are removed, the land is too dangerous to use.
We owe so much to the animals in our lives. I hope they know we appreciate it.
