A small Mountain Gorilla troupe of two females and two babies is on its own. Their silverback has removed himself from the group. He has been tracked down and is showing signs of illness. That would explain why he would leave his family.
The two females are having a hard time protecting their babies and feeding them. They count on the male for protection and security. The jungle is a dangerous place for a mother gorilla with a young baby.

I really feel for the two mothers. They are really trying to keep their babies alive.  It must be so frightening for them. They can't get help elsewhere. They will do their best, but they could easily lose their little ones to a number of causes.

I hope the male recovers and comes back to his family. Until then there are two mums out their with babies just trying to survive.
The world in not an easy place to live sometimes. I hope for the best for them.
