Reticulated pythons get very big. You friend must have some very big setups.
She could have any number of different  boas. There are some beautiful species available.
I bet she has a Brazilian Rainbow Boa.

It was good of her to help you out. Of course those of us who have snakes are always excited when someone else gets a snake.
Kasey wants to get a Reticulated python but I'm not so sure. I like the size of our ball pythons.
I'll have to ask her what type of snakes she has cuz I'm not sure Kasey really knows. She's are always been really good to us as far as knowledge and equipment and like I said she's the one that got us Bellatrix because she knew we Would be good snake parents for her.
It is good you have an experienced snake person nearby. Snakes are different as  pets. The first time your snakes stops eating for a long time it can be scary. Sometimes snakes just stop eating. Then they start eating again. It isn't always clear why it happens.
It helps to have someone to talk to when you are worrying.

Then there are shedding issues. The first time you have a snake retain the eye caps you will want her advice. I have been known to grab a snake and rush to the reptile centre. Paul has so much more experience.

I find reptile people are always willing to help each other. Once you have been through a few snake disasters and complications you will be there to help someone else.

My worst disaster happened when my king snake stuck his head in a side opening of his plastic log and got stuck. Instead of trying to pull out he was determined to push himself in further. He was actually having trouble breathing and if he had gotten much further in he might have been unable to breath. I threw him in a snake box, log and all and rushed to the reptile centre. Paul used plyers to break the log apart and free him. (I wasn't strong enough to break it myself and I did try). Elliot was fine, but he was really an angry snake. He was determined to push himself right through the log and he seemed to think that we stopped him. I am glad I had help on that one.
Jean-Luc regurgitated his last rat again. He had been doing that but then stopped. He wasn't crazy about eating it but did anyway. I'm thinking the heat is too low. He isn't acting sick and is acting normal I've ordered more thermometers for all the tanks and more heating pads. One for him to up the temp and one for Zuko when we are able to separate.
We have for sure had some interesting things happen. Jean-Luc is our wild card so far with his 3 escape attempts.
Jean Luc is the one that is going to keep you on your toes. They do sometimes regurgitate if it is too cold. I hope he settles down to normal feeding. I give smaller that usual meals to a snake that has regurgitated. I think it helps them get back into feeding properly.

Some of them are real escape artists. My borrowed female got out one night, but I found her right away. Some snakes are enough to keep you up at night. Jean Luc might be better when he has his own tank.
That's what we did last time he regurgitated his rat. Just kinda figured it would be easier for him to eat a smaller rat. We have all sizes now cause Zuko eats small and Bellatrix has pinkies. When we first got her she wouldn't eat the first couple weeks so we would give Jean-luc her pinkies. Just put the new heating pad on his tank and then we will try again this weekend.
Jean Luc will be fine. He just might be one of those snakes that likes smaller food. I have fussy ones like that.
The heating pad should make a difference.

I thought it would be warm enough where you are. Of course your place might be cool inside so that you can be comfortable, but that would be too cool for your snakes.
it is a nice temp to where the heating pad he has should be fine but his tank is so big and its an open top so he can lose heat easily. I'm actually looking at putting some foil on top to stop some of the heat loss. His tank is actually too big for him to be honest. 75g Honestly need to look at getting him a 20 or 30 and then we could look into getting an iguana. Already looked on craigslist and found a couple different blue iguanas... looked into a pair of bearded dragons too.
That tank is a bit big for a ball python. It would be perfect for bearded dragons. You would love having bearded dragons.
Is there anywhere in your area that sells beardies? Of course you could find a rescue/rehome on Kijiji. It would be nice to give a home to a lizard that really needs a home.
I've look for actual rescues but bearded dragons aren't really around here which I feel is odd with how many I see in pet stores. You'd think there would be plenty but we aren't in a hurry or anything. I'd like to get things set up and tested first. Then we can look for the animals.
