This video is all over. A dog went into the water and came back dragging a young fawn. There is no doubt that the fawn would have died if the dog hadn't pulled him to shore.

Isn't that amazing. That wasn't an easy rescue. They had trouble keeping the fawn out of the water, but in the end it is safe and hopefully it will recover.

Dogs really are the greatest.
This is a good story! I saw it yesterday (or the day before?) and wanted to post it, but couldn't get the video to load properly! That little deer owes its life to a dog. How wonderful.
I like the way the dog, having saved the fawn from drowning, licks it thoroughly afterwards to stimulate its circulation. As you say, Catherine, dogs are exceptional.
I managed to find this on YouTube and load it! (my computer is getting worse I think. Some pages heavy in graphics and other video formats won't load but I have a better chance with YouTube...)

Storm definitely was working on that fawn to revive it. Nudging, licking, pawing at it gently. There was no doubt about that. It was very touching to watch. I am glad the little deer was rescued and hopefully will be fit to return to the wild soon.
Dogs are amazing. Storm seemed to know more about "life saving" than a lot of people.

I hear you about the computer. Some pages with lots of links just won't load. I have high speed internet and I am using windows ten so I should have no problems. I think some pages are so full of links that they overwhelm our computers.

So far YouTube is still good.
