"[i]One of our main focuses over the past years has been to help stray animals through spay and neutering programs, in a number of countries around the world. We are also focused on providing the very best welfare for bears at our specialised sanctuaries in Austria, Germany and Bulgaria. who in the past have suffered greatly in terrible conditions. Another priority is our big cat sanctuary in South Africa, where big cats who have been forced to endure horrendous captive conditions, are given a safe home for life. These are only some examples of our international project work.
Additionally, the aim of our campaign work is to achieve long-term, legally binding improvements for farm animals, laboratory animals, companion animals, and wild animals. One of our key aims is to ensure that farm animals are kept in conditions that are appropriate to the welfare of their species. Furthermore, we have also committed ourselves to ending animal experimentation and replacing this with modern, more effective and scientifically recognised methods of testing.
