How cold is it in Canada right now?
In Calgary Alberta it is too cold for the penguins at the zoo to go outside. Now that's cold!

Any time it goes below minus 20C it is cold and if you add in a wind chill factor it is dangerously cold.
Still the idea that even a penguin would be too cold gives you a different sense of how cold it is.
AsĀ  long as it doesn't get to cold for the polar bears. I don't want to deal with that kind of cold.

This kind of fits so I am going to add it to this thread. One solution to the cold is a goat coat.

I think it is funny that they play movies for the giraffes so they can stay entertained while they are kept in by the cold.
If it doesn't warm up I am going to copy the giraffes and watch movies. It is the only sensible thing to do.
Too cold for Penguins....it is the first time I have heard of that! It's strange....they live in Antarctica! But I can imagine with a minus 40 or so wind chill, it would be too cold for many things.

I really like the Goat Coat and know a Goat would feel so much more snug while wearing a coat. Why not? Dogs do -why not Goats?

This is a cold movie...."From Yakutsk to Oymyakov" where the temperature is minus 69F or -56 Celsius. It's amazing how adaptable humans are (thanks to clothes of course!) All driving their cars, going to work, catching the bus....

I have experienced slightly colder than -40C and I have seen the ice fog that forms. It is dangerous to be outside and still we do it. I notice there were no big trees growing in the area. I can't imagine why humans would want to live in such a cold place.

Their cars must be incredible. They keep on driving in spite of the extreme cold.
