This of course is a Canadian dog. He has been taught to use the snow plow to clear the snow. Now that is a useful skill for a dog.

He looks like he doesn't mind doing it. With his thick coat he wouldn't even feel the cold.  Lots of people can teach their dog to fetch slippers.  That is an over rated skill. Snow clearing however is something that we need help doing.

What a pity....the video refused to load for me.
But I get the idea. A dog who shovels snow is a useful dog! There is something about shovelling snow which is great fun for the first five minutes

Too bad the video won't load. It shows a large dog pushing a snow blower. He looks pretty happy. Someone has to turn the machine on and set it up, but likes pushing it. Maybe he doesn't want to wade through snow either.
