A dog went out onto the ice at Trout Lake in east Vancouver and fell through into the freezing water.
Even though it wasn't her dog, a woman ran out on the ice and broke a path through to the dog and carried her to safety.

That was a brave thing to do and she didn't hesitate. She ran to help the dog. I am glad there was a happy ending for everyone.
When it is that cold the dog wouldn't have survived without help.
