A man disposed of his pets by throwing them in a trash compactor. Three of the seven survived because a neighbour acted quickly to shut the Machine down. Two rabbits and a pigeon survived and are being cared for. Sadly a guinea pig and three birds were not so lucky.

The man faces four felony animal cruelty charges. I hope they can make it stick. What he did was horrible. It must have been terrifying for the little creatures. What he did showed a callous disregard for animals and a certain cruelty. I hope he gets the maximum penalty.
They need to send a strong message that such acts of cruelty will not be tolerated.
