There is some serious flooding along the Fraser river in BC. The dairy farmers are moving their cows just in case. It is not an easy operation to move over 100 cows, but it has to be done.

I can't help but compare this situation to the flooding in Spain where that  farmers left their animals in their pens to drown.
The BC farmers are working day and night to look after their farms and their animals. This is not the first time they have had flooding and it won't be the last.

It wasn't the first time in Spain and they left their animals to drown then too.

Farmers do have a rough go of it sometimes and we should recognize when they work hard to protect the animals in their care.
I hope they get all the cows moved safely and all goes well.
They have planned it well so the cows will be fine. They might suffer some property damage, but those things can be replaced.
I think other farms in the region are housing the cows. This is the kind of preparation and concern that we like to see. It means they are putting the animals first.
