An amazing woman rescued a bee. It didn't have proper wings so she brought her in and fed her. You have to watch the video.
They developed an remarkable bond. She had to  care for the bee every  day, but their bond went deeper than food.
It is sad that bees live such short lives, but the life she had was beautiful.

I didn't know it was possible to rescue a bee like that. I thought I understood bees a little, but this is much more than I ever expected. You have to really respect the dedication of the woman. She put a lot into caring for her rescue bee.
Sadly I don't have a hope with loading that video format. But I can only imagine how beautiful this rescue was. What a kind and loving thing to do for a little bee! My heart goes out to this woman, this bee, and that story! (wish I could have just read it.)
I hope you can download a simple you tube video.

It is inspiring that someone will put so much effort into helping a wingless Bumble Bee.
It is sad that there is a virus that causes Bumble Bees to develop without wings.
Oh Catherine, thank you so much! I didn't know it was on YouTube too. It is such an amazing story and so beautiful. I particuarly liked the second video. What a lovely woman, to give Bee such a happy comfortable life. Bee obviously did make a bond with her, anyone can see that.
In searching for a video you could download, I found the second video.  So I got to hear more of the story too.
Isn't that incredible. She really did have a bond with the little bumble bee. I shall look at my bumble bees differently from now on. I get along well with them, but I never thought of bonding with them in any way.

Finding the story was perfect timing since we are celebrating World Bee Day. I did wear my Bee T-shirt all day. I also planted many Bee friendly flowers on Friday. I am not fostering one bee like the woman in the video, but I can try and help all the bees in my area with what I plant. Still, it would be an amazing experience to nurture a bee like that.
