A pet husky in Utah escaped one night and killed the neighbour's chickens. Then she got into a local petting zoo and killed a lot of animals. The dog was eventually caught and is now quarantined.

The owner went out and saw the dead chickens and then went home to wait for the dog to come back. Shouldn't she have searched more aggressively? She saw the dead chickens so she knew her dog was killing things. I agree with the petting zoo owner that this could have been prevented. Once the dog was out, people could have been alerted.
I have never heard of a dog killing like that. Is this something that happens?
