This is really interesting. There is such a variation in the sleep habits of animals. Even related species are not always alike.

I am impressed by the animals that can sleep while flying or swimming. That is quite a feat. The brain is amazing. It is able to sleep under what ever conditions it experiences.  Yes it is about survival, but the giraffe is too cute.
How fascinating! I had no idea before about animals' sleeping habits so this is really interesting.
Aww....(the Giraffe) And only getting 20 minutes sleep a night!

The Otters were cute indeed, holding hands while they sleep.

I think cats have sleeping down to a fine art.
Cats live to sleep. I don't know how they can sleep so much.

I had no idea that animals could sleep while swimming or flying. Clearly the world of animals is more interesting that we ever imagined.

All things need to sleep at least some of the time. At least I think all things need to sleep. I wonder if there is a species that never sleeps?

Here are seven animals that need very little sleep.

I can't find anything yet that indicates that there is a species that never sleeps.
Being someone who doesn't sleep much, I am curious about this.
