Just in time for National Dog Day, Land Rover has announced pet accessories for its vehicles. They have some good ideas and products to make it safer to travel with your pet, in particular a dog. I think the ramp is a great idea. It means no more lifting a heavy dog into a vehicle.

Someone in the design/research department must have a dog or two. The ideas are good. I assume they only work on Land Rovers, but I am sure people will find ways to make accessories for other vehicles. Just having a ramp a dog can walk up is going to make life much easier for people. Taking the dog for a ride will be a much nicer experience if it can be done easily and safely.
Maybe more dogs will get more trips to the dog park. We can hope.
