This has been a terrible year for sea turtles. Earlier in the month over a hundred dead turtle washed ashore. Now hundreds have been found dead trapped by fish nets off the coast of Mexico. These turtles are just trying to reach the beach so they can lay their eggs. Instead of making to the nesting ground they end up being killed. 
Why was the fishing gear out there like that in the first place.

These turtles are already endangered. Having losses like this puts them in serious danger of extinction. The populations are not that large. How many turtles lost will be the number that brings the species to low to survive. What are we not doing right that so many turtles are dead?
