We have a lot of swans and sometimes one can get caught in the ice. I am glad we have such dedicated people that go to their rescue.

Of course I don't blame them for being careful. The swans are big and this one was not very happy.

Oh I am so glad they managed to rescue that swan! Firemen to the rescue again! Bless them.

What would we do without Firemen.
They were brave. Being out on the ice is risky. Rescuing a swan is very risky. They are not a passive bird and they are quite strong.
I am glad the bird is well and on his way.

For all their beauty, swans are feisty and protective of their families and themselves. Well done to the brave Fire fighters, yet again!!

The swans are as feisty as our Canada Geese. They look so peaceful, but it takes a brave firefighter to tackle one. I am glad he was found in time to be rescued.

Yes Swans can be very fierce! And they pack a heck of a bite when they want to!

I have heard of swans chasing people. I know when I was having lunch under a tree when a Canada Goose decided that she wanted to sit under that tree. She ran at me hissing and I moved.
Swans and geese can really bite. I wasn't going to stick around to see if she planned to bite me.
