After years of adult deaths and few caves being born (fewer surviving) the Atlantic Right Whales are showing signs of hope. Three calves have been spotted with their mothers.

It has helped that things were done to protect the whales from ship strikes and fishing lines. Having fewer deaths has helped the population to recover. Last year there were no deaths, this year there are births. These are all signs that the species could survive.
Now all we have to do is clean up the oceans so there is a safe place for the baby whales to grow up.
