Albino animals are rare. We do occasionally read about them. It just seemed so odd to hear about a white Panda and a White Orca at the same time. They are very much unrelated species.

White animals like this always draw attention because they are so rare. I would love to see either of these white creatures, but the ones I really want to see are the rare and elusive white squirrels of Toronto.

The park they live in is not far from me and I pass it by streetcar many times a month.
I have never actually seen a white squirrel. I think I am going to have to pack a picnic lunch and spend a whole day in the park. It would be worth it. It is a great park so even if I don't see the squirrel it would still be worth it.
Any squirrel watching suggestions?
This must be the year for white animals. A white Black Bear was spotted in Canmore Alberta.

I have never seen or heard of a white variation of a black bear. I have seen a cinnamon coloured bear, but never a white one. I wonder if there have been any others.

I also what other white animals we are going to see this year.
