Since hurricane Dorian there have been a lot of pets separated from their owners. With the help of Big Dog Ranch Rescue some pets have been identified and some have even been reunited with their families. For families who have lost so much, seeing their beloved pets again is a real gift.

It is amazing how much good can still come out of a total disaster. Homes and property are damaged or destroyed, but somehow people have managed to save pets and return them to their people. I do admire the people who bravely go in to a disaster site and do what they can to help the animals in need. There are a lot of dedicated volunteers and they are real heroes. We may never know them by name, but we know they are out there giving all they can to help animals in need. They are true animal lovers and as a pet owner it gives me peace knowing there are people who will help in an emergency. All I can say is Thank-you for everything you have done.
