Chester Zoo was pleased to anounce the birth of a black rhinombaby girl. They are so endangered there are less than 1000 left in the world.
This isn't something that happens every day although this is the twelth rhino calf to be born at tthe zoo.

Right now we can be glad that the rhino calf was born at a zoo. It is the only place that it is safe from poachers. It is sad that  their natural habitat is not safe for them. Until it is safe we have places like Chester Zoo that allow the rhinos to grow and multiply. Hopefully some day they can return to the wild and live safely.
