There is a need for pet prosthetics. A good artificial limb can approve the quality of a pet's life. Now that 3D printers and their software have improved they can really be a useful tool in building pet prosthetics limbs. There still needs to be a lot of work done. It still won't be cheap. There needs to be quality control of the limbs produced. However the 3D printers will still improve the situation greatly.

This is good news. Increasingly animals are surviving injuries and needing replacement limbs. If we can use 3D printers to make this more possible then we have found yet another good use for 3D printers.  Hopefully in time the cost will come down. Right now most people can't afford a prosthetic limb for a pet with out extensive fundraising.  We can look forward to a better future for our handicapped pets.
