It has been a long winter, but spring is here and the grizzly bears are starting to emerge from hibernation on Grouse Mountain near Vancouver.
They look pretty good for just waking up after months of sleeping. They certainly look cheerful enough.

I love seeing bears in the spring. They sleep for months and then they are back. They are ready to eat, but they don't look too thin. It must have been a good winter.
