It is not certain yet, but the female Panda on loan to Toronto Zoo is showing signs of pregnancy.

That would be so exciting. I could jump on a subway and go out and actually see a baby Panda. It would be quite a happy event for the zoo staff who have worked so hard to make the Panda comfortable enough that she would want to be a mom.
I do hope she is pregnant. And when it's born we need PHOTOS!!!
I don't know if we have pandas in Australia anymore. The only ones were in Adelaide so I've never seen one up close.
It's very hard to get a panda pregnant, so congrats to them if they have. Hope it all goes well
I would be amazing. She has only been here a year. She must like the set up they have for her. A baby Panda! That will be something special to get pictures of. The Pandas are on loan for another four years so it would be good if we are able to make a good use of their time here.

They must be feeling pretty sure or they would not have told the news.
Yes I've heard it is hard for a Panda to become pregnant. So I hope all is well too.
They know she was in season and they did artificial insemination(a sperm sample was flown in from China).
This would be quite an event. We have a male on loan, but he must be too young. He wasn't interest. I think it is a short pregnancy so we should know soon. The range is 87-186 days. They can have twins and they are so cute.
This will be fun for me because I can go out there and see them and watch them grow.Heart
Baby Pandas are some of the cutest creatures ever! I hope all goes well with the pregnancy.
As soon as they know for sure I will let you know. We really hoped for a baby when China loaned us the Pandas. It would be pretty good to have a baby in the first year.
I am glad that her hormone levels are high because when I look at the nesting video I have to wonder. I guess pandas are not much at nest building and anything is a sign of pregnancy.
