An Orca was caught on the rocks when the tide went out. Fortunately she was found. First volunteers formed a bucket brigade to keep the whale wet. Then they were able to set up a pump and shower the Orca with sea water. Being out of water is dangerous for a whale. It is hard for them to breath. The poor Orca cried a lot while they were helping her. It must have been a frightening time.
Then the tide came in and the orca was able to swim to safety.

The Orca was able to swim to safety when the tide came in because people helped keep her wet. If no one had found her it could have ended badly.
People worked for hours to bail water and help the stranded whale. There are good people out there and you have to admire their commitment to help a whale in need.
