Basil was found on the streets by Furry Angels Haven Wuhan. His back legs were so damaged, they had to be amputated.  He was brought to Canada by  Dog Tales Rescue and Sanctuary.  He was placed in a foster home with Sarah who wanted to foster special needs dogs.  It was a "Foster Fail" from the very beginning. In stead of fostering Basil, Sarah adopted him.  He is a challenge. He wears a diaper and uses a wheelchair. He requires a lot of ongoing medical care. Also according to Sarah, he is totally worth it. He is now a happy, much loved dog with a wonderful life.

Foster Fails are the best kind of failure. It means you have bonded with the pet and can't give it up. Basil is cute, but there is no doubt that he is a lot of work. It takes a wonderfully dedicated person to take on a pet with that many needs.  Fortunately for Basil there are special people who are willing to give him the care he needs to live his best life. Hopefully Basil has many happy years ahead of him.
