It is Orangutan Awareness Day. We should always be aware of our red haired cousins, but it is also good to remember them on a special day.
They need all the help we can give them. Habitat loss is threatening their very existence.

If we don't act now  we could lose  them. Many efforts are being made, but the biggest threat is habitat loss. The biggest cause of habitat loss is palm oil plantations. This is a controversial subject. What should we do.

It is not so simple as a boycott of palm, oil products. We need to make changes in how we produce foods.
