A woman's beloved cat went missing. After 10 days she got a call from a "vet" claiming to have the cat. The vet asked for her address and a deposit using her bank information.
When she arrived at the vet clinic, they knew nothing about it. And her "bank" called to say her card had been used and they would handle it.
The vet was a scammer and the call from the bank was the same scammer.
Fortunately, she got her money back.
Sadly, the cat has not come back.

This is a terrible thing. When you are frantic about a lost cat your judgement is off. There were probably warming signs that the "vet" was who he said he was.
All she could think about was getting her cat back. Scammers find ways to get past our common sense and trick us. We have to be cautious always and that is not easy to do.
After all this, I just wish she had gotten her cat back.
