A hump backed whale was seen dragging a buoy and a lot of metal line off of BC.
The marine Mammal response team scrambled and eventually were able to find the whale and them fee the whale.

It is a remarkable rescue. The whale probably wouldn't have survived dragging all that equipment around. It was tiring and it would have impacted the whale's ability to feed. The Marine mammal response team is a brave bunch, and they saved the whale's life.
