People are now buying pets online from websites. They don't meet the pet or the person selling the pet. They make arrangements through a web site. They pay to have the pet shipped. Then they happily wait for the pet to arrive. Sadly, in far too many cases it all turns out to be a scam. There is no pet, and the money is gone.

Too often people want a particular pet so much that they let their emotions override their common sense.
They don't check out the web site. They don't do any research on the person selling the pet. There are ways of checking out a web site. Even Googling the name and any other information would give some information.
If you really want a pet, it is better to deal with someone you can meet. Unless you have actually seen the pet you are buying, you don't know it even exists.
Better yet, adopt, don't shop. There are many wonderful pets at shelters who would be happy to come home with you, for a fraction of the cost.
