This is an interesting video about animals, especially cockatoos adapting to city life. Cockatoos in Australia have learned how to open garbage bins. So have a lot of other species around the world. Toronto raccoons are famous for opening our locked composting bins.
We have created more urban spaces, so animals have adapted to those spaces.

Toronto raccoons took less time to figure out how to open the locked bins than it took to design the locked bins.
Clearly the cockatoos are learning at a very fast rate. It might save time and energy to just admit that they have won and let them have what they want.
Clearly we can't outsmart them for long. When a whole group of animals work together to find a way to outsmart us, we are outsmarted.
