There is an animal sanctuary north of Toronto, nestled in the woods, where you can stay is a tree house or in a cabin. There are trails to walk and of course sanctuary animals to visit. There are Highland Cattle, chickens, dogs and even a pig. You are encouraged to feed the animals and feel at home with them.
There is even an ice rink for skating.
It has everything needed for a different kind of winter get-away.

This sounds like fun. Someone suggested to me that I should take a tropical cruise on a large cruise ship some winter. Yuck! Somehow that does not sound like fun.
Sleeping in a treehouse, surrounded by animals, in ten acres of woods, sounds like a dream vacation.

Can you imagine going to sleep to the sounds of the woods all around you and waking in the early morning to the sounds of the cattle and the chickens.
It would be so peaceful and so relaxing.
It would also be nice to know that staying there helps support the sanctuary.
