A rescue group in Calgary is dedicated to helping special needs pets. They bring them in from other shelters that are not able to deal with them.
The founder is a physiotherapist so she understands what the pets need and what can be done for them.
They even find loving homes for their dogs in wheelchairs.

They can walk with a wheelchair, but we need to know how to set them up in their wheelchair.
As someone with special needs reptiles, I can appreciate what this rescue is doing. Damaged animals want to live too. They have needs and wants. They want to enjoy life and be be someone's special pet. Having a group dedicated to this cause will make a difference in many lives.
