Melody has a number of health conditions. They caused her to pass-out with the stove on. Her dog Mia barked and licked her face until she woke up.
The dog made sure she got out of the house safely. Mia is a service dog, but she is home trained. Professionally trained dogs are hard to get.
Mia clearly has the heart of a service dog. With out her Melody would not have survived.

It is amazing how responsible dogs are. When she sensed danger, Mia didn't try to save herself, she worked to save Melody.
Mia is being recognized by an award for her actions. She certainly deserves it.
